Remember all those Oklahoma-Texas games earlier this decade in which the Sooners simply emasculated the Longhorns?

Like the 63-14 rout in 2000?

Or the 14-3 dominance in 2001?

How about 65-13 in 2003?

Or 12-0 in 2004?

For a second, it looked like today could bring a hybrid of all of them, with the Sooners leading 14-3. But Texas quickly pulled with 14-10. So there’s still a chance at a good game.

The best news, of course, is that Brent Musburger is on his game. He’s on pace for about two dozen “Folks!” at this point, and there’s already been “a footrace.” And if it’s close, you just know he’ll remain entertaining to the final play.

Thank goodness for bye weeks.
