When Vanderbilt went down against Georgia today, it ensured an interesting role for Maryland heading into this week.

The Terrapins are the only team in the country with three victories over ranked teams.

So the Terps have taken down California, Clemson and Wake Forest this season. It marks only the second time in school history Maryland has upended three ranked teams —- 1984 is the other.

And just think —- Maryland might have several more opportunities to add to the total. Virginia Tech, Florida State, maybe even North Carolina —- all could be ranked by the time Maryland gets around to playing them.

And at this rate, that would be a very good thing for the Terps.
