Since polls from the ACC, CAA and Patriot League have popped up here in the last week, it’s time to toss out the Atlantic 10 just for fun.

Unlike those other leagues, the A-10 is not having an in-person media day, but rather a four-hour teleconference/video conference. So it’s not there’s anywhere to actually go.

However, the A-10 still came up with a poll, and it has George Washington at No. 11 in the 14-team league. You might remember the Colonials, who not long ago were a top-25 team, finished 13th last year while filling the role of “the team other than St. Bonaventure that doesn’t get to play in the conference tournament.”

But better days might be ahead … though this preseason poll suggests only slightly better days are arriving this year (first-place votes in parentheses):

1. Xavier (44)
2. Temple (12)
3. Dayton (3)
4. Saint Joseph’s
5. Charlotte (2)
6. Massachusetts
7. Saint Louis
8. Richmond
9. Rhode Island
10. La Salle
11. George Washington
12. Duquesne
13. Fordham
14. St. Bonaventure
