Things have been quiet for the last few days.

I promise that won’t continue. In fact, it might be the one remaining respite until Maryland enters final exams in the third week of December.

But with football still more than a week away from playing again, and men’s basketball’s lone exhibition game not for another 10 days, it’s reasonable to use this morning’s briefing as a look ahead rather than a look back.

On the football side of things, the Terps are expected to practice today and tomorrow before having Friday off. They pick things back up on Saturday, which correlates to a Monday during a normal game week since this is a Thursday night game that’s looming.

With basketball, Maryland is scrimmaging again this afternoon, and it’ll be interesting to see if Cliff Tucker and Dino Gregory follow up solid performances from Saturday. On Saturday, the Terps will visit Temple for one of those almost entirely off-the-books scrimmages; it exists, but it’s open to no one and the schools aren’t permitted to release any information from it. The Terps and Temple had a similar scrimmage last year at Comcast Center.

For now, enjoy the quiet times. Just remember the roller coaster is about to get started again all too soon.
