… and, alas, Brent Musburger is nowhere to be seen.

About two hours to kickoff down here, and not a whole lot happening on the field just yet. It is a picture-perfect day, though things should get a bit chillier once the sun sets.

For Maryland, this day is about survival and defeating a team it is favored over by nearly two touchdowns (if you’re into that sort of thing). As for Virginia, it’ll be interesting to see how long it takes for the boos to start cascading through the stadium —- if they come at all.

The Cavaliers clearly won’t remind anyone of the sport’s great offensive juggernauts, but chances are they have one or two decent performances in them. Maybe it will be here in Charlottesville; Virginia does have the steepest home/road split in the ACC over the last 20 years.

More to come in a bit.
