Just arrived at Byrd Stadium a few minutes ago for today’s game. So have the Terps, who marched through a relatively quiet Terrapin Alley.

One of the many guys I spotted on the way in was tight end (and the subject of today’s online-only story) Lansford Watson, who has caught all four passes thrown his way in the last two weeks. Ralph Friedgen doesn’t think Watson is quite at the level Joey Haynos was the last couple years, but it’s not hard to imagine that gap closing fast.

Meanwhile, Jeff Barker of the Baltimore Sun looks at quarterback Josh Portis‘ development.
