I think some tailgaters planning to head to Charlottesville in a couple weeks are very happy.

After all, Maryland’s game at Virginia on Oct. 4 will kick off at 7 p.m.

So while this is a very beat writer-unfriendly time for a game that really should be starting much earlier in the day, at least the fans can be happy with it.

Now here’s the clincher for proof that Virginia is really down this year: Depending on this weekend’s results, this game might get shunted off to ESPN360 anyway. So there’s a chance the Cavaliers will be playing for a fourth straight ESPNU appearance this weekend when they visit Duke. Hence, ESPNU(navailable) is hereby changed to ESPNU(Va).

Anyway, here’s the full rundown of game times from around the conference for that weekend.

* Boston College at N.C. State, Noon, Raycom

* Duke at Georgia Tech, Noon, ESPNU

* Western Kentucky at Virginia Tech, 1:30

* Florida State at Miami, ABC regional, 3:30

* Connecticut at North Carolina, 7, ESPN2 or ESPNU

* Maryland at Virginia, 7, ESPNU or ESPN360
