Here’s a little look into the process behind Ralph Friedgen‘s return to Maryland.
He met with athletic director Debbie Yow on Sunday and Monday in College Park to articulate his vision of the program going forward.

Yow is on the basketball trip in Indiana, and said she would inform Friedgen of her decision this morning.
(A bit of editorializing here on my part: One would hope that would have been a strong hint as to how things would play out, since firing one of your highest-profile employees would seem, well, unseemly.)
In any case, the call came at 9 a.m.
“She told me this this morning, ‘Are you ready to move on’ and I said ‘I am,’” Friedgen said. “We both [said] we’re excited and let’s get to work.”
After a 2-10 season, there is plenty to get done.
