Another ACC football season comes to an end.

What was that? Basketball started almost four weeks ago? How about that.

With no local interest remaining with the ACC title game —- sorry, but Clemson-Georgia Tech isn’t moving the needle far outside of two states —- let’s just wrap up things quickly.

As a side note, let it be said that thinking long and hard about picking N.C. State to beat North Carolina doesn’t count the same as actually picking the Wolfpack. One last legitimate mistake for the regular season.

Things that aren’t really mistakes: Picking Georgia Tech to keep rolling against Georgia and being unable to guess when Clemsonliness will emerge from weeks in hiding. That happens.

Onto this week’s game …

* Clemson vs. Georgia Tech (8, ESPN): Yellow Jackets 31-24. Who is really expecting back-to-back losses for Paul Johnson‘s team? Didn’t think it was too many folks not wearing orange. Georgia Tech held on with the help of a late field goal to win the first meeting between the teams. C.J. Spiller is obviously going to be a factor, but it’ll be the pass —- Georgia Tech’s ability to both make the most of its handful of throws and contain the work of Kyle Parker —- that will tilt this to the Yellow Jackets.

Last week’s record: 5-3 (3-1 conference games)
Season record: 67-29 (32-16 conference)
Preseason picks record: 64-32 (29-19 conference)
