Just a little administrative note to pass along: Georgia State hired Maryland chief of staff Cheryl Levick as its athletic director.
She had been at Maryland for nearly two years in a newly created position after stints as an AD at Santa Clara and Saint Louis.

This is a good move for Georgia State, an Atlanta-based school that gets an experienced administrator with plenty of experience in major metro areas.
It’s a good move for Levick, who gets to be in charge of her own department again.
And it’s a good move for Maryland, which gets to save on a big salary (Levick’s salary as listed in the 2008 Diamondback salary guide checked in at a cool $200,000 —- go down to page 142).
You can be certain Levick’s responsibilities at Maryland will be divvied up, which is a solid way to save some jobs at a time when that’s a bigger concern than usual.
