Lacrosse season begins tomorrow.

No, really, it does. And I’ll even have some coverage of Navy’s opener against VMI —- presuming I make it over to Annapolis while the game has yet to be decided.


Looks like I have a 12:30 p.m. ETA on that noon start, assuming nothing crazy happens in College Park tomorrow morning with basketball. Of late, that’s never been a safe bet.

Speaking of bets, one interesting lacrosse nugget to share is the season-opening lines to win the national championship on Memorial Day from the Wynn Race and Sports Book in Las Vegas.

I wrote a bit about the emergence of betting lines in lacrosse back in the spring (a fascinating development that speaks volumes about the sport’s growth) and the folks at the Wynn were kind enough to pass along some info to start the 2009 season.
