CORAL GABLES, Fla. —- Maryland never plays well down here.

To the tune of having never led by more than three points in three prior visits.

By my count, the margin was bigger than that for all but two minutes in the first half.

Another intriguing subplot was foul trouble for Eric Hayes and Greivis Vasquez. Yet Maryland actually extended its lead by a couple points late in the first half when both were on the bench.

Adrian Bowie has 12 points at the break for the Terps. Jack McClinton predictably leads the Hurricanes  with nine points.
