Interesting little nugget uncovered by the Raleigh News & Observer’s J.P. Giglio:

Nineteen former ACC players dot the rosters of the two teams in the Super Bowl. In fact, all but two of the league’s dozen schools are represented: Maryland and Wake Forest.

So that’s sort of interesting.

(The Terrapins, by the way, had one representative on the conference runners-up: Baltimore tackle Jared Gaither).

Unsurprisingly, Florida State is the most represented school on those rosters —- Pittsburgh’s Lawrence Timmons, Orpheus Roye and Bryant McFadden and Arizona’s Anquan Boldin and Darnell Dockett.
