Three things to point out after a half at Comcast Center.

1. Maryland basketball might be as Jekyll-and-Hyde as its football counterparts

2. Even with the Terps up 11, this is a team that issues constant reminders that no lead is safe

3. Boston College could sure use Tyrese Rice not being stuck in foul trouble

As it stands, the Terrapins got a balanced half —- and another standout effort from Landon Milbourne (12 points) —- in taking a double-digit lead just a few days after losing by 41 at Duke.

Maryland’s edge was as large as 16, but was whittled down to 11 by the break. Should be interesting to see if the Terps can come close to maintaining their 52.9 percent shooting clip.

Chances are, the law of averages takes over and the shooting cools a little. So don’t be stunned if this somehow winds up closer —- much closer —-than it is after such an encouraging half.
