Georgia Tech coach Paul Hewitt mentioned this probability during the ACC teleconference earlier this week, and it appears to have come to fruition.

Yellow Jackets guard Moe Miller (broken nose) practiced yesterday and appears set to play tomorrow at Maryland, per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

This has a cascading effect on Georgia Tech. It means Iman Shumpert doesn’t have to play point guard full time, and it means Zachery Peacock won’t have to play out of position at the three.

And suddenly, the Yellow Jackets own a semblance of depth, something they haven’t had this year because of Miller’s injury and, before that, Lewis Clinch‘s academic issues.

Miller will be wearing a Rip Hamilton-style mask. This, of course, means only one thing: Bonus points to the Maryland pep band if it can have the Phantom of the Opera theme ready for when Miller makes his first appearance tomorrow.
