ANNAPOLIS —- Looks like Colgate had a bit of a burst in them after all.

It didn’t hurt that Navy’s offense fell apart in the second half.

So after building a 10-point lead early and sitting on the cusp of routing a short-handed Colgate team, Navy’s season ends in overtime for the second straight year.

This didn’t have the crushing moment like last year’s halfcourt heave in triple overtime. But it’s close, and it denied Navy its first Patriot League tournament victory since 2001.

More to come after postgame.
