As is often the case, the Ivy League has produced the first NCAA tournament team of the year.

In this season, like last season, it’s Cornell. The Big Red (20-9) beat Penn, Princeton lost at Columbia and … well, that Cornell-Princeton game tomorrow that looked like it could be interesting will be anything but.

So that’s consecutive NCAA berths for the Big Red, which before last season had all of two NCAA appearances.

Best guess: Cornell is a pain of a No. 14 or No. 15 seed to draw —- and, for the moment, the one team everyone can be fully certain will be in the 65-team field.
