RICHMOND —- Time for an admission: After watching Towson play George Mason last weekend, I figured there was no chance I’d see the Tigers again for months.

After all, I wasn’t rolling into the CAA tournament until semifinal Sunday. And Towson sure didn’t seem like a good bet to stick around for long.

Yet here the Tigers are, the lowest seed to ever reach the semifinals of this tournament. Obviously, a No. 11 seed making the title game would be a record, too.

It won’t be easy. Mason is 14-0 against Towson since the Tigers joined the CAA. That includes a regular-season sweep this season, and no CAA tournament meetings.

Onto the lineups:

No. 2 GEORGE MASON (21-9)

G-20-Cam Long
G-1-Dre Smith
G-23-John Vaughan
F-33-Louis Birdsong
F-32-Darryl Monroe

No. 11 TOWSON (12-21)

G-32-Troy Franklin
G-20-Brian Morris
F-22-Jarrel Smith
F-25-Robert Nwankwo
F-24-Junior Hairston
