RICHMOND —- Closing in on an hour until tip here at the Richmond Coliseum, and there’s a minor piece of business to attend as George Mason‘s players begin to trickle out for warmups.
Senior guard Dre Smith, who left in the final minute of the Patriots’ CAA semifinal victory over Towson last night after taking a shot to the nose, is good to go. Smith has a bandage on his nose but looks unbothered by the situation.

Smith had 16 points in the first meeting with Virginia Commonwealth, a 76-71 loss in Richmond back on Jan. 24. That happened to be one of the games John Vaughan missed after suffering a concussion, so that’s an interesting element to add to matters tonight.
So, in short, Mason has its full rotation to work with tonight, which ensures an already appealing matchup of the top two teams in the CAA will be even better.
