At the bottom of this week’s AP poll, there is a point allocated to Richmond.

Yes, the defending Division I-AA national champs got a 25th-place vote after their victory over Towson on Saturday courtesy of Ray Ratto of the San Francisco Chronicle.

(This cannot happen in the Harris poll, which gives voters a drop-down menu of all 120 major-college teams to choose from).

Of course, the Spiders beat Duke, who beat Maryland, who beat Clemson, who beat Miami, who beat Georgia Tech. So they’ve got that going for them.

As well as a single point in this week’s AP poll.
