At some point, it’ll be the time to tell the tale of the most absurd Filth Filter ever employed by any blogging software.

In any case, it’s made it much more difficult to explain why Steve Goins is missing tonight’s basketball game for Maryland.

Goins was suspended for “a violation of the Athletics Council’s class attendance policy.”

Rather than dare to link to the policy (lest that set off the Smut Patrol, too), the too-simple explanation is that athletes are allowed two unexcused absences for a class before facing a suspension.

And that’s about all I’m going to be permitted to type into this entry, given the apparent existence of 7,000 words you can’t say on television or write in a blog.
