There aren’t many things to be learned at Midnight Maryland Madness.

One of the few, though, is who can’t dunk when handed a ball with a completely clear court.

“That’s something we talk about in the locker room before going out,” guard Eric Hayes said. “Every year I’ve been here, somebody’s blew out. Hopefully, it’s not me.”

Hayes, despite his turf toe injury, plans to partake in the dunking tonight.

But who might be the favorite to flub the jam? Hayes paused before going with the safest answer possible.

“I think the two freshmen are probably are the two favorites just because it’s their first time out there,” he said.

We’ll find out soon enough.
