Virginia couldn’t rally to upend its long-time nemesis Duke.
The Cavaliers’ reward is another date with the Blue Devils on Friday.

No. 9 Duke defeated visiting No. 6 Virginia 13-11 on Saturday, ensuring a rematch in Friday’s ACC semifinals in Durham.
Robert Rotanz scored four goals in the second half for the Blue Devils (10-4, 3-0 ACC). Colin Briggs had four goals for the Cavaliers (8-4, 1-2).
Since the start of the 2006 season, Virginia is 1-9 against Duke and 81-8 against everyone else.
So that sets up these ACC tournament pairings on Friday at Duke’s Koskinen Stadium:
No. 1 Duke vs. No. 4 Virginia
No. 2 North Carolina vs. No. 3 Maryland
It’s the third straight year those teams will meet in the semifinals.
