Navy midfielder Andy Warner will play Friday against Maryland, coach Richie Meade said Wednesday.
Warner did not play in the Midshipmen’s 9-8 loss at Georgetown last week. He suffered a concussion early in Navy’s March 26 loss to Colgate.
“Yeah, his brain is unscrambled,” Meade said. “He probably could have played against Georgetown. He was still in that window and we chose to be safe rather than sorry. He should be fine. He’ll be practicing and he’ll be ready.”
Warner, a converted attackman, has 12 goals and a team-high 17 assists for the Mids (4-6). He started 40 consecutive games before missing the loss to the Hoyas.
