Navy fullback Alexander Teich was named to the watch list of the Hornung Award, a second-year honor given to the nation’s most versatile player.

Virginia Tech cornerback Jayron Hosley and running back David Wilson are also on the list.
Teich ran for 863 yards and five touchdowns as a junior, while also hauling in two touchdown receptions. He also averaged 26 yards a kickoff return in 14 attempts.
Hosley had nine interceptions last season for Virginia Tech, and also averaged 12.6 yards a punt return. He brought back one of his 19 punt returns for a touchdown.
Wilson, the Hokies’ starting tailback this year, managed 619 yards and five touchdowns as a reserve last season. He also averaged 26.5 yards per kickoff return and scored twice in 22 kickoff return attempts.
Teich, Hosley and Wilson are among 50 players on the watch list.
