George Mason and Virginia Tech could meet either Nov. 15 or Nov. 16 in the NIT Season Tip-Off.
The Hokies, the fourth seed in the 16-team tournament, will host the East regional between Nov. 14 and Nov. 16 at Cassell Coliseum. Mason, the No. 5 seed, will play at the same site.

Virginia Tech (22-12 in 2010-11) opens the tournament against Monmouth (9-21), while Mason (27-7) will meet Florida International (11-19).
The regional winner will advance to Madison Square Garden to play Nov. 23 and Nov. 25. The top three seeds that lose in the regional round will host a consolation pod Nov. 21 and Nov. 22.
