GREENSBORO, N.C. – There’s quite a bit still to do today, with a couple stories to crank out and plenty of basketball ahead.

But before then, a quick look back at Maryland’s ACC tournament victory over N.C. State on Thursday to secure a Friday date with Duke. As a side note: The ACC column includes only regular season contests and not the tournament.

The number of note might be the combined plus-19 from Hauk Palsson and James Padgett. Palsson tied his career-high in minutes. Padgett played 13 minutes, his most since Jan. 20. Together, they helped offset Dino Gregory’s early foul trouble and gave Maryland some of its best frontcourt reserve production of the season.

The pair combined for 11 points and 10 rebounds in 33 minutes, a development the Terps would no doubt like to see replicated Friday against Duke.
