Randy Edsall‘s first spring practice at Maryland will begin Tuesday without at least four players.

Offensive linemen Justin Lewis and Pete DeSouza, tight end David Stinebaugh and cornerback Avery Graham are not expected to participate in spring drills. All four missed at least one game last season because of injury.

Graham, though, is an active part of one team this spring —- something that could help him once he’s fully healthy.

“Avery’s going to be running track this spring because he can’t do things for us on the field,” Edsall said. “He’ll be doing some individual work. He’s already participating with the track team. I think it’s great that we have guys that are multi-talented young men who have the ability to do other sports and also maintain the academics we need.”

The full injury rundown:

G Justin Lewis
T Pete DeSouza (broken legs)
TE David Stinebaugh (shoulder)
CB Avery Graham

T Justin Gilbert (knee)

DE Marcus Whitfield (knee)
