Lost in the shuffle a bit today is a football tidbit.

Maryland’s Sept. 17 date with West Virginia will begin at noon and be televised by ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU.


It’s a big day for the ACC, with Florida State (Oklahoma), Miami (Ohio State) and Clemson (Auburn) all playing host to high-profile opponents.

The announcement means a quarter of Maryland’s game times for next season are set:

Sept. 5: Miami, 8 (ESPN)
Sept. 17: West Virginia, noon (ESPN or ESPN2 or ESPNU)
Sept. 24: Temple

Oct. 1: Towson
Oct. 8: at Georgia Tech
Oct. 15: Clemson
Oct. 22: at Florida State
Oct. 29: Boston College

Nov. 5: Virginia
Nov. 12: vs. Notre Dame at FedExField, 7:30 (NBC)
Nov. 19: at Wake Forest
Nov. 26: at N.C. State
