Looking forward to the return of Kenny Tate, Darin Drakeford, Demetrius Hartsfield, Andre Monroe and others?

Well, those Maryland defensive players would seem unlikely to play Saturday at Florida State based on coach Randy Edsall‘s comments during a brief teleconference Sunday.

“It doesn’t look like it right now as I talk to you today. …,” Edsall said of players returning to the field. “I know we have guys who won’t be out there who were out there [against Clemson]. I don’t know if anybody will be back who was out these last couple games.”

Maryland listed 10 players as out for Saturday’s 56-45 loss to Clemson —- or more than 10 percent of the Terps’ 96-man roster —- and five opening week starters on defense did not play. Maryland has lost 39 man-games to injury among scholarship players who were not already expected to redshirt:
