Quickly going back and looking at the picks (but not the film) …

1. C.J. Brown will start at quarterback for Maryland.

SEE RELATED:

CORRECT. The sophomore played the first quarter for the Terrapins before giving way to Danny O’Brien. It was O’Brien who played most of the game and accounted for Maryland’s two touchdowns.

2. There will be at least four turnovers.

CORRECT. Conditions were a factor as expected, and the teams combined for six turnovers. Five of them came before halftime.

3. There will be a defensive touchdown.

INCORRECT. Boston College returned two interceptions inside the Maryland 30, and Maryland recovered a fumble inside the BC 15. However, there was not a defensive score.

4. Boston College’s Luke Kuechly will make at least 16 tackles.

INCORRECT. The star linebacker finished with 12 tackles … or about one for every two minutes of Maryland’s possession time. If the Terps were on the field more, Kuechly probably would have approached his average.

5. Maryland will win.

INCORRECT. The Terps fell to 2-6 with the 28-17 loss, their largest margin of defeat to the Eagles since 2006.
