The NFL’s cut-down day was Saturday, which meant Maryland’s large contingent of pro players was trimmed a bit in.

Among Maryland’s rookies, four made active rosters. Torrey Smith (Baltimore) and Da’Rel Scott (N.Y. Giants) were draft picks, while Adrian Moten (Indianapolis) and LaQuan Williams (Baltimore) made it as undrafted free agents. In addition, undrafted tight end Will Yeatman was claimed off waivers by Miami.
