I’ll be “down the ocean” (as we natives like to call it) later this week for the Maryland Association of Counties conference in Ocean City, Md.
The conference is one of the state’s premier politicking events with all of the requisites: panels on hot policy topics, buffets, keynotes from Maryland‘s top pols including the governor, more buffets. And, of course, receptions. Lots of receptions.
Check here for dispatches.
In the meantime, here’s today’s write-up on the ongoing Ronnie White investigation.
Quick briefer: Ronnie White was arrested and charged with killing a Prince George’s police officer in late June. Shortly after he was arrested he was found dead in his jail cell, apparently from strangulation — at least according to a preliminary autopsy report.
We’re still waiting on the final autopsy report to be released, in the meantime, the White family wants to the U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI to take full control of the investigation.
