The Wizards are set — two new pieces included — to take on the defending champion Boston Celtics, who come into the Verizon Center having won 12 straight games and boast a league-best 20-2 record.

The Wizards will go with a starting lineup of Juan Dixon and DeShawn Stevenson at the guard positions, Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler at forward and JaVale McGee at center. Coach Ed Tapscott said he’ll start with Jamison on Kevin Garnet, who is averaging 16.4 points and 9.4 rebounds rather than subject McGee to an early torching. Andray Blatche also will be used on Garnet.

Mike James and Javaris Crittenton will be active, but Tapscott said playing them will be “a feel thing” depending on how the game goes because the players didn’t get the final clearance to play until just less than 90 minutes before the game.

Both are eager to contribute, however, and plan on taking advantage of any oportunity they get.
