The Wizards got back to work today after getting their first win of the season and the mood was noticeably lighter now that the 0-5 start is over.

Caron Butler said he “did sleep better on my Tempur-Pedic last night” and cracked more jokes about JaVale McGee earning the nickname Lemonhead because he looks like the candy character, but he also continued to praise the effort and impact that McGee is bringing.

Eddie Jordan was talking about how he doesn’t want to move Caron to shooting guard because he’s a two-time All-Star at small forward and doesn’t see a need to mess with it, and that Butler will only play the ‘two’ in a pinch. “You don’t want to twork it, as Usher would say,” and then had a laugh at the display of his R&B knowledge.

But the Wizards also remain focused, and they’re eager to reel off six straight wins like they did last year, and hope the step toward that continues tomorrow night in Miami.

Only injury note was that Antonio Daniels most likely will not play tomorrow night, and instead will rest his sore, swelling right knee and possibly return to action Tuesday night at home against Miami.
