What an ugly game. The Wizards stumbled out of the gates as if they wished they were some place else and shot 1-for-8 to start the first quarter. They slightly improved, finishing the quarter by shooting 6-for-17 and trailed 26-13 and the deficit only got worse as they game progressed.

As Antawn Jamison said, “We just continue to take steps back. No excuses, no young guys on this team, you’ve got the Wizards. And the Wizards for some reason when they do something good, take four, five steps back and we continue to take steps back.”

The Wizards got outrebounded 49-39 and outscored 40-30 in the paint. The Cavaliers outscored the Wizards 22-9 on second-chance points.

Nothing at all like the Wizards-Cavaliers games we’ve grown accustomed to over the year.
