Well, the fans have been asking for it ever since JaVale McGee was taken out of the starting lineup last month, and now they’re going to get it. With Etan Thomas likely out for the season with a torn meniscus in his knee, the Wizards’ already thin lineup of centers gets a bit thinner.

Wizards coach Ed Tapscott said that now McGee’s minutes will definitely increase with no other true center on the roster to backup Andray Blatche.
“Normally [McGee] would play against the taller, thinner guys and I would play Etan against the more physical guys. Now it means JaVale will play against whoever’s out there, and it may open up an opportunity for Oleksiy Pecherov to get some time.”
Otherwise, it’s the same starting lineup for the Wizards, who since their last trip here — the 122-117 loss that dropped them to 1-10 and got Eddie Jordan fired — have gone 6-20.
