Cornerback Carlos Rogers seemed headed to the Pro Bowl at midseason.

Now he’s not even sure he’ll be back despite having a relatively affordable contract and although fellow longtime Redskins Shawn Springs and Fred Smoot will be in their 30s and are more expensive and although fellow cornerback DeAngelo Hall doesn’t have a contract.

“With everything that’s happened around here, I wonder, too,” Rogers said. “It’s over now, put that behind me, take the offseason and get away from everything. It be on your mind all the time. It’s something you don’t want to accept. I’m going to sit with [cornerbacks coach Jerry Gray]. Me and him always talk. In Cincinnati, I played [just] nine plays. I’m used to playing 60-70 plays. Smoot, his [playing time] fell worse than me. You never know what’s going to happen. If I’m [still a Redskin come training camp], I’ll be here. I’m going to improve on myself as opposed to rehabbing [a knee which he did this past offseason].”
