The ever-mercurial Clinton Portis talked very briefly to the media just now, allowing each reporter one question. After saying he felt good because it was a nice day, Portis got a little more serious about the chances of him playing against the Cowboys with the left knee he sprained 11 days ago against Pittsburgh.

“I have two days left,” Portis said. “I’ll be in the training room working trying to get there. I’ll probably get a good six treatments in [and] two massages. The progress has been better, but I won’t say, ‘OHHH, I’m ready! We got ‘til Sunday night to make the decision so that’s when I make it.”
