We’re about two hours from kickoff of Redskins-Seahawks and if it seems like we were just here in the Pacific Northwest, that’s not a stretch. It was just the first week of January that it was raining for the Redskins‘ playoff loss at Seattle.

The scene here is a lot less subdued. Locally, this game has zero buzz. Most of the attention was on the Washington-Washington State game yesterday in Pullman. The Cougars kept the Huskies winless with an overtime victory.

The sun is out today and it’s expected to be partly cloudy and 51 degrees by game time. Jim Zorn will have his Ring of Fame name behind him today. The list of players is on the Redskins’ side of the field as is Steve Largent’s retired No. 80 and the No. 12 fan thing.

On display in the suite level, noted as columnist Dan Daly and I were navigating our way to the press box, were Seahawks items up for auction, including several autographed photos of Zorn during his Seattle playing days.

I’ll check in with the inactives about 90 minutes before kickoff.
