The Redskins just drafted Maryland cornerback Kevin Barnes in the third round, 80th overall.
The 6-foot, 187-pound Barnes started the past two years for the Terps. He missed the final six games of 2008 after fracturing his left shoulder blade. Barnes’ college highlight was a hit on Javid Best that caused the Cal running back to vomit.

Barnes also got noticed for his combine-best 41 on the 50-question Wonderlic test in February.
“I feel like I’ll be a steal wherever I get picked,” Barnes told The Washington Times last week. “There’s no cap on how high I could have gone had I not gotten hurt.”
