Backup linebacker Khary Campbell won’t return for a fifth season with the Redskins, strongly rejecting the same minimum salary deal that longtime NFL starters Phillip Daniels, Renaldo Wynn and Robert Thomas accepted.

Campbell told The Washington Times that he’s negotiating with other teams, but it’s not just about the money. The Redskins’ top special teams tackler the past three years feels disrespected.

“That wasn’t something I was going to accept,” said Campbell, 30. “And they drafted two linebackers. They did what they had to do and I’m going to do what I have to do.”
