Only three teams played all of the NFL‘s four conference finalists this season: the Redskins, Cowboys and Giants.

New York went 4-2 against Arizona, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Pittsburgh, with both losses coming to the Eagles — including last Sunday’s divisional round playoff game. Interestingly enough, the home team lost all three Philadelphia-New York games this season.

Washington was 3-2, sweeping the Eagles and beating the Cardinals while losing to the Ravens and Steelers.

Dallas went 1-4, beating Philadelphia.

So while Redskins owner Dan Snyder has to watch an NFC East rival play for a Super Bowl berth for the seventh time in nine years (Eagles 2001-04, 2008 and Giants 2000, 2007), he can claim that his last-place Washington team was better than Dallas against the NFL’s best.
