Summer vacation is almost here for the Redskins, who were on the field for about 1 hour, 40 minutes today for the second-to-last OTA of the offseason. They wrap things up on Thursday.
Since the practice was closed to the media, there are only a few notes.

* Clinton Portis, LaRon Landry, James Thrash and Mike Williams weren’t present. Portis practiced Monday and might be done for the week. Coach Jim Zorn is expected to provide an update on Williams tomorrow. He went down in a heap late in Monday’s workout with a knee injury.
* Unlike some teams, the Redskins held their minicamp early (week after draft) and do their OTAs in groups of four consecutive days. “I don’t like the guys to come in and out, in and out all the time,” Zorn said last week. “They can plan better and we can build one [OTA] to the next. It fits better for me and the way I see it working with our football team.”
* Receiver Antwaan Randle El on second-year guys Malcolm Kelly and Devin Thomas: “They look good. They’re ON the field!”
