* Linebacker London Fletcher attended his first voluntary activity of the off-season. Fletcher has two years remaining on the contract signed in March 2007 but his absence can be seen as a negotiating ploy. Fletcher’s return leaves safety LaRon Landry as the only player who’s healthy but not practicing.
* The practice was closed to the media (it will be open Thursday) but cornerback Carlos Rogers (right knee) said he worked for the second straight day. He had a big ice pack on the knee afterward. “Just maintenance,” Rogers said.

* On his Twitter page, agent Drew Rosenhaus wrote: “Santana [Moss] restructured his contract with the Redskins in order to guarantee and front load the next two seasons. This will also improve his … chances of getting a new contract extension after the 09 season. The Redskins are one of the best teams to work with — they want to win.” (obviously, that took two Tweets)
Rosenhaus is the representative for Moss, Fletcher, Clinton Portis, Rocky McIntosh, Devin Thomas, Rock Cartwright and Mike Sellers, so the team has been kind to Rosenhaus.
* Defensive end Andre Carter said he hasn’t worked much with rookie Brian Orakpo but intends to during camp. “His head’s in the books [studying] to play linebacker,” Carter said. “Once training camp starts, we’ll get more 1-on-1 time with him and talk about pass rushing. But now, he has to focus on SAM linebacker.”
