The NFL has distributed its compensatory draft picks — based on free agents lost by each team last year — and the Redskins have received a seventh round selection (No. 243 overall) for losing quarterback Mark Brunell to the New Orleans Saints.

The Redskins now have five draft picks — first (13th overall), third (No. 80 overall), fifth (No. 150), sixth (No. 186) and seventh rounds.

Thirty-two compensatory picks were given to teams. The highest is the 97th overall pick to New England for losing Asante Samuel to Philadelphia. Cincinnati, Chicago and the Giants also have picks at the end of the third round. The Patriots also gained picks in the fifth and sixth rounds.
