It was just a coincidence, but on the day that defensive end Renaldo Wynn returned to Redskin Park as a member of the burgundy and gold for the first time since he was cut at the end of training camp in 2007, defensive tackle Cornelius Griffin is also here for the first time this offseason.
Wynn and Griffin formed the left side of Washington’s defensive line in 2004 and 2005. The Redskins had the NFL‘s No. 3 defense in 2004 and ended a 5-year playoff drought in 2005.
Griffin, who had surgery on his right shoulder in January, isn’t yet doing upper body work but said he’ll certainly be ready for training camp in July, if not the May 1-3 minicamp.
