Combining a couple dispatches from Ryan and David here:

According to team sources, free agent cornerback Shawn Springs just arrived in Philadelphia to visit with Eagles officials.

The Redskins released Springs last week when they committed themselves to signing his de facto replacement, DeAngelo Hall, as well as Albert Haynesworth and Derrick Dockery.

Springs, who turns 34 next week, spent the last five seasons with Washington after starting his career in Seattle, where he played from 1997 to 2003. has often said that if he ever left Washington that he would want to remain in the NFC East; the Eagles traded cornerback Lito Sheppard to the New York Jets last week.

Springs was scheduled to visit the Patriots as well, according to the Boston Globe.
