With Will Montgomery filling in for the injured Randy Thomas (right triceps) at right guard, the Redskins have no backup interior linemen in uniform in case left guard Derrick Dockery or center Casey Rabach gets hurt.

That’s a decision that could come back to haunt coach Jim Zorn, who has kept fifth receiver Marko Mitchell active both weeks. If Dockery or Rabach gets hurt, Stephon Heyer would have to play guard with Mike Williams going in at right tackle.

Thomas was hurt on the 8-yard pass from Jason Campbell to tighr end Chris Cooley on second-and-10 at the Washington 49 early in the second quarter.

One has to wonder about Thomas’ future if his tricpes is torn. The 33-year-old missed most of 2007 with a torn left triceps and played much of last year with an ailing neck and knee that each required offseason surgery.
