Jon Jansen, who lined up next to Randy Thomas on the right side of Washington’s offensive line for most of the past five seasons, feels his old comrade’s pain.

Thomas suffered a season-ending torn right triceps last Sunday against St. Louis, two years and three days after tearing the left one. The latter injury kept Thomas out most of 2007, the same year that Jansen missed all but the first two quarters with a broken leg.
